Sustainability and Responsibility at Lapland Winter Park
At Lapland Winter Park, sustainability is a guiding principle in everything we do. We are proud to hold the Biosphere environmental certification and to be an approved participant in the Sustainable Travel Finland program.
We care for nature by planting trees, building birdhouses, and creating shelters for pollinators to support biodiversity. We prioritize recycling, minimize waste, and actively guide our guests in sorting. We also aim to reduce food waste through careful planning and responsible consumption.
Our park is heated with an energy-efficient geothermal system, supported by good insulation and LED lighting. We favor renewable energy sources wherever possible.
We take excellent care of our reindeer and ensure their well-being year-round. Our staff work in a safe, fair, and supportive environment.
We kindly ask all our guests to respect nature, animals, and fellow visitors. Please do not litter and be mindful of the peaceful experience we aim to offer. Lapland Winter Park is also a safe space for children – we do not tolerate any form of disrespect or mistreatment of others.
Sustainable growth, local benefit, and long-term environmental care are at the heart of our operations – for the good of our visitors, the community, and future generations.
